How the idea came to be….

This project was initiated to participate in Rero’s Robot got Talent Online Competition 2016. Its primary object was to be able to collect rubbish into its tummy effectively. So far I am not satisfied with my objective yet and Wall E 3.0 is underway.
Version 1.0

Made from cardboard as its main protection, it is extremely fragile to swings and turns from the robot itself, it was considered a nightmare to put all together and have it destroy itself slowly. The trailer wheels could not support its body well enough due to lack of rigidity of the structure.

Wall E is now finally able to move! Cytron Technologies CEO, Mr Tan Eng Tong is impressed by our contraption! It is only then when our Wall-E begins its spotlight performance on stage! (The featured image is when Wall-E 1.0 sets out its course to help Cyton Technologies Sdn.Bhd to advertise rero robotics)
Version 2.0

Added a metal armour for our fellow Wall-E. We got it from Aw Yong’s father’s stainless steel manufacturing company. Jensen played a great role in painting and designing the body of Wall-E.
At last our final product for the competition! We got 10 top in the competitions, bringing home RM500 for our team 🙂
